“I am riding in the Beach Babe Classic because I find the idea of a non-competitive ride with a bunch of other “sisters” to be exciting. I have never ever done anything like this, and since I decided that 2013 would be a year of adventure and trying new things, I am not letting fear or anxiety stand in the way. Beach Babe has also inspired me to sign up for other bike events this year. I am so looking forward to meeting some amazing women!”

So, here’s the best way to enjoy the Beach Babe Classic girls getaway weekend:

1. Book a room at Hotel Maya in Long Beach & schedule a spa service
2. Come to registration check-in from 3-5pm on Saturday and try the Beach Babe martini at Del Fuego restaurant
3. Dine at any of the awesome restaurants at Rainbow Harbor
4. Rise and shine Sunday and ride to the start at Shoreline Aquatic Park – event opens at 7am
5. If driving in on Sunday, park at the Aquarium or Pike parking structures. Event is behind aquarium building near the water
6. Need coffee or breakie? Pierpoint Landing has a cafe
7. Bike technicians will be on hand to pump tires and make last minute adjustment
